There is a manual page coming with hasciicam, it includes full description of commands and their functions.
If you have allready installed hasciicam on your system, then you can also see it by typing 'man hasciicam' in a terminal.

HasciiCam works with webcam drivers supporting YUV422 and YUV420P grabbing, in particular it has been tested with spca5xx and quickcam linux drivers.
